ABOUT DR. MIRANDA

Dr. Charles Miranda, a native of Connecticut, graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 1979 he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society. He moved to Vermont following graduation and has been in private practice in Georgia, Vt. since 1984. Dr. Miranda formed the Georgia Eye Center in 1990 and relocated the practice to his new building in 2008.

Dr. Miranda, a retired Lt. Colonel, was proud to serve in the Vermont Air National Guard for over 20 years as Chief of the Optometry Clinic. He is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as past treasurer of the Vermont Optometric Association. Dr. Miranda and his wife, Teresa, have three children and reside in Georgia, Vermont. He has always appreciated the beauty of Vermont and in his spare time enjoys the outdoors, particularly hiking and kayaking. Music has also been a passion and he enjoys both listening and performing.
